The McLaren Hall is not just a venue; it’s a piece of Killin’s heritage, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere that’s ideal for any occasion.
The main hall is spacious and features markings for two badminton courts, offering flexibility for sporting and recreational activities. It also boasts the largest stage in Perthshire and can seat up to 250 folk. Also available is a smaller hall (called The Lesser Hall) with the kitchen adjacent to it.
Main Hall
Our main hall is 13m x 20m and can accommodate up to 400 guests standing, or 250 guests for a seated concert making it perfect for large events.
It is the largest village hall in Perthshire.
Booking the whole complex gives you a maximum capacity of 520 pax.
Lesser Hall
Our smaller hall is ideal for courses, workshops, meetings, coffee mornings or exercise classes.
It measures approx 16m x 12m.
For a large event happening in the main hall, this room is often used as the bar and cloakroom area.
Facilities
We offer a range of amenities including a well equipped kitchen, flexible seating & table options and adaptable room layouts.
A movable bar with two drinks fridges is available for use - free of charge.
There is wheel chair access via a ramp.
1. Check availability
Use our online calendar to find available dates and book via Hallmaster. Click on the ‘+’ sign on the date to initiate a booking request.
You will be asked to read our booking terms and conditions document and tick a box to confirm you have done this.

If you want to discuss any requirements then please send us an email with your event details, and a member of our team will get back to you.

3. Confirm your booking
Once your booking has been received by our Hallmaster system we will secure your date, check your details and if everything is in order you should receive an email confirming your booking. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with to make your event a success.

Notes on booking the heating & kitchen
It can be hard to know how many hours of heating you need as it really depends on the weather on the day.
We can help and give advice on this.
Sept - March : book the heating for the hours you are in and we will adjust the heating times so its on before you come.
April - Aug : we would 'hope' you won't need heating but we can stay in touch and add on some heating charges if you think its necessary.
